Spring Luxe at Rise Hall

Updated: Aug 12, 2021

In amongst the chaos of the stop-start restrictions for Hair and Beauty, and the differing numbers for the Wedding Industry, an amazing team of Suppliers came together to create some Magic. Finally, we were back to work!

The shoot itself took place at the stunning Rise Hall, and when I say you really need to see this place in person- that’s no exaggeration. It is HUGE. The attention to detail and pure luxury created by its new owners is second to none. A special shoutout needs to be said for Helen Gill, who went above and beyond to welcome us all in, kept us very well-fed and looked after, and ensured the shoot ran to perfection.

The initial concept for the shoot was created by Matthew Laraway, who also captured the full day on film which I’ve popped below for you to all lust over! Matthew teamed up with Freddie Garland of www.tenfootdancecompany.com who helped plan and oversee the day also.

On the day itself I worked alongside by beautiful bestie- Hair by Sophie Jane, and together we create a number of looks that not only we felt would be perfect for our 2021 Brides to gain some inspiration from, but also complimented our models individually, ensuring that the looks stay forever timeless. My models were Paris and Emily, and were the most beautiful girls inside and out to pamper! We were also joined by our favourite Jasmine, who you’ll recognise from the 1000’s of images of her within my portfolio. Jasmine’s amazing face was painted by the lovely Charlotte Malinder MUA who it was a pleasure to also work alongside!

For the first look on Paris I opted for a Peachy Golden Glam, with natural flawless Skin, Glow in just the right places, Wipsy Lashes, and a Peach toned Nude Lip. This type of Glam is definitely a signature Bridal Look of mine, and is not only a favourite to do, but something that will never date. A real timeless beauty.

For Paris’ second Look, we upped the ante, went a little smokier on the eyes, added a beautiful dark lip, and more highlight and bronze for the skin. It complimented the incredible waves Sophie created, and made for such a gorgeous Evening Look.

For Emily’s first look, I went for a more Pinkier, Softer glam to suit her regal hairpiece, and beautiful slicked straight hair Sophie created. The warmer and pink tones suited her skin tone to perfection and she looked so fresh, dewy and elegant. The hairpiece from Saint Beth couldn’t have been more of a beautiful match to complete her look. Saint Beth sent so many incredible pieces, and they are somewhere that you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice when looking for you Bridal hair accessories!

For Emily’s second look, I went for a Coral Orange lip, something which is so on trend for Spring-Summer ’21. I adore these tones for Spring time, as they give a real holiday vibe and compliment a glowing skin just perfectly. Often Brides and their Bridesmaids are too scared to opt for a coral tone, but its so so flattering and I think that shows within the images of Emily! Major Holiday Skin and Lip vibes!

Again with her sleeker hairstyle and the unreal crown, she looks every inch Royalty!

For Emily’s final look, I went for really classic Brown Nude tones, a more dramatic winged and blown out smokey eye, and bolder on her Blush and Bronzer. Obsessed is an understatement!

Each look paired perfectly with the beautiful gowns from Osh Gosh Gowns, and absolutely wowed us all with the unbelievable Florals and Decor from The Florist Marshalls Yard and Blush Venue Decor. Both owned by Laura Bellamy, she absolutely surpassed her usual perfect work with this Bridal Bouquet! Adding a mix of dried, real Orchids and on-trend Pampas, I can already tell this floral trend is going to be one to stay. Making Pampas less Boho and more LUXE.

I also have to give a special shoutout to Fallen Hero, a local business who I adore working with time and time again. Darren and Rebecca just get it right every, single time. The suits they provided were tailored to perfection and fitted the brief 1 million percent. Often Groomswear can get overlooked while we concentrate on the Bride herself, but I’m sure you’ll all agree Daniel our Groom couldn’t have looked better all thanks to Fallen Hero!

And now for the biggest shoutout of all to Richard and Christine of Kazooieloki, who’s images seem to get better (if thats even possible?!) every single time I work with them. Clean, Creative, and every inch ‘Wow’. Their work literally captures the whole feel of the day, and have given us all the serious portfolio overhaul we all needed after 2020! I always say it, but they are the perfect pair. A Husband and Wife Team that just get it. Christine always knows what makes a Bride look good, and has such an eye for angles, beauty shots, and how to capture the dress in every detail. That teamed with Richards amazing eye for detail, creative touch and strive for getting ‘that shot’ just means that every image you see of theirs gets better and better every single time!

Each and every person on board really brought their all after such a long time off. From the incredible Cake from Where The Ribbon Ends (not the first time I’ve seen their work in person and it’s almost too good to eat!? Almost. Until you taste it!) to the super talented Stephanie Harpist who leaves everyone with Goosebumps just listening to her perform.

The Evening was finished with an unbelievable fireworks display from Rave Fireworks, who were literally the Cherry on top of a perfect Shoot!

So now for the best bits, feast your eyes on these beauties;
